A parody of one of my favorite books and movies, the similes were devastating, the characters charming misfits out of Dashiell Hammett’s blighted imagination and I swear, in another life you are a well-educated educated foodie. It was hilarious and I laughed out loud several times. When it first came out, I somehow missed it, but seeing that the story got special mention by the FFJ editor, I decided to check it out.
