The author seemed to have one of each of the major stereotypes of the disaffected. Written in a plain, matter-of-fact style, it is very effective — and very funny. It draws some natural comparisons, including to “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Arsenic and Old Lace” and others. For the characters, you have to laugh, so you don’t cry. Well done!
