His sense of betrayal is quite beside the point; he was broken long before the riff with his family. Life style is poor, to say the least: downing a half bottle of grain alcohol and indulging in tobacco and the occasional heroin — ugh! It is fitting, I guess, maybe poetic justice, that he fries like a piece of bacon. Intriguing and offbeat slice of fiction!
