It sketches what we’ve come to know as a mob family, but it is also subtle and nuanced. i enjoyed it very much. The writer’s skill is evident in meaningful phrases like, “….and for many years the reasons for his killing seemed a closed book set on a high shelf.” A wonderful metaphor!
